Eric Catolico

eric profile picEric began his affair with photography when he enrolled in a photojournalism class in the summer of 2000 at Manuel L Quezon University, Manila. He used an old 35 mm SLR film camera back then.

His interest in photography is recently reignited when he travelled to Vietnam, where he took some photographs of random people he had encountered on the streets of Saigon.

Eric considers himself a newbie in digital photography. But in spite of the overwhelming complexities of digital photography, he never backs down to the challenge of an excellent composition and tries to improve his craft by constantly looking for interesting stories through the lens on his camera.

He used to be a member of Philippine Freelance Press Journalist and Photographers Association Inc., in 2001, a trainee news reporter for TV Patrol Legazpi, ABS-CBN Regional Network Group in 2002, a Provincial News Correspondent for a Manila based tabloid newspaper, Imbestigador from 2002 to 2004.

He is a Journalism graduate, a licensed teacher, and currently working in a government school in Bangkok.
