The series is made of emotional expressions on paper and wood using mixed media of spray paints, pen paints, and acrylic paints and any found objects. The idea was to express the feeling of “Breaking Free” from the bondage of self, routine, technology and anything that ties one’s self into a selfish containment. This second solo exhibition of the year 2014 is another milestone towards this artist career that I love most.
The exhibition was a success and was attended by at least eighty people. As usual, food was prepared by Arpha, setting up Andreia and Glenn. Everything was fantastic from the preparation to the exhibition. Everything was just ready as needed. July 10, 2014 was a perfect date for me to open since it was just my birthday two days before that, July 8. For me, it was just like a birthday party attended by people I know and people who got interested to attend.
I would like to thank the owners and staff of Yim Huai Khwang Hostel for all the support in allowing me to do a solo exhibition. Chotirat Apiwattanapong and Khun Panit Pueng Aramkul are fantastic people! A couple that enjoys arts, people, and companionship. There will be more collaboration that we are going to make in the future.
Apicha Winz Panyaarjong, the Assistant Marketing Manager of Sakura Product Thailand , also attended to represent the company since Sakura has had sponsored me through the products that the company made available for me to use.
I would like to take this opportunity in saying my gratitude for friends and family who has come to attend and support this exhibition. I would like to mention Dr. Joan Naypa for the delicious Torta, Joan Tinamisan for the ever irresistible Leche Flan, Ate Maurice Meringuez for the Biko, the Yim staff and family again for the super support.
